CEU Workshop

Learn how to use simple ASL signs to help the babies and toddlers in your care communicate more effectively. This workshop introduces the concept of signing for classroom/behavior management and how using signs can help lessen tantrums and reduce frustration for both babies and their caregivers. You will learn how to use signs with stories and how signing benefits communication and  language acquisition. Basic signing vocabulary will be demonstrated in detail along with ideas and activities to help engage children and make signing fun. Workshop is 3 hours. Participants who complete the class will earn .3 CEUs.

$250 for up to 10 staff members, $25 per person thereafter, includes state fees.

Northlight Childcare Advantage Program (NCAP)

Would you like to add something unique to your childcare program? Allow us to come and teach American Sign Language signs to your children and watch them light up! Our lessons are based on the Northlight Childcare Advantage Program (NCAP) by Sign2Me®.

The Northlight Childcare Advantage Program was designed and developed for childcare centers that recognize the significant benefits obtained by incorporating an American Sign Language program for HEARING children into their regular curricula.  NCAP gives you the resources, tools and support to facilitate a quality signing program utilizing the products and services of Sign2Me®. Although we firmly believe in the many benefits of the NCAP program, it is not necessary for you to become a member to bring our training to your childcare center. As independent instructors, we are more than happy to work with you, NCAP member or not. Whatever you decide, you will not go wrong by incorporating a weekly signing class into your regular routine. Our dynamic method of introducing ASL through the use of interactive games, storytelling and music is a fun-filled activity your children (and their parents!) are sure to love.
