ASL Signs For Little Minds Workshop

The ASL Signs for Little Minds workshop introduces the concept of signing for classroom/behavior management and how using signs can help lessen tantrums and reduce frustration for both babies and their caregivers. Participants will learn about the advantages of signing with small children and the supporting research; how signing benefits communication and language acquisition; how to get started signing and the best time to begin; how and when to introduce signs; how to incorporate signs into daily routines and how to use signs with songs and stories. Signing vocabulary will be demonstrated in detail along with ideas and activities to help engage children and make signing fun. Participants will learn approximately 75 words at the completion of the workshop and gain a basic understanding of the history and benefits of using ASL signs with little minds. Workshop is 2 hours.

$25 per person, includes registration, handbook and certificate
