Informational Presentation

Informational presentations are routinely scheduled at various times and locations throughout the community. These complimentary presentations are approximately 30 minutes in length and are designed to introduce the advantages and benefits of signing with babies and young children. Anyone interested in scheduling a short presentation for your group or organization is encouraged to contact us.

May is Better Speech and Hearing Month – to help inform parents and caregivers about the benefits of using American Sign Language to enhance communication and literacy skills in infants, toddlers and preschoolers, Itty-Bitty Signers and HPS, Inc. Baby Steps Playgroups in Port Saint Lucie are teaming up to present a free baby signing workshop. This workshop is designed to introduce the concept of signing with babies and young children. Participants will learn about 20 of the most useful signs as well as how to get started, the best time to begin, how and when to introduce signs, and how to incorporate signs into daily activities. HPS, Inc. Baby Steps Playgroups are funded by the Children's Services Council of Saint Lucie County.

Preregistration is required for all classes and workshops. Registration fees are non-refundable and vary by class. For classes held at the PSL Civic Center, the registration fee is to be paid to the instructor on the first day of class. For all others, registration can be done on line or by downloading the form and mailing it in to us. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required for this download. Click here to download free software.
